The EFCL 2025 Conference in Paris, held on Friday, June 13th, brought together leading professionals to delve into the critical theme of "Calculating the unexpected: best practice and pitfalls in international corporate bribery and ESG investigations."

The conference provided a comprehensive exploration of the ESG regulatory and enforcement international landscape, offering invaluable insights into the evolving legal and ethical frameworks. Attendees also gained strategic perspectives on self-disclosure and global settlements, understanding the nuances of navigating complex international agreements. A significant portion of the discussions was dedicated to the intricacies of corporate investigations, examining best practices and common pitfalls. Furthermore, the sessions on whistleblowing, remediation, and social and corporate responsibility were particularly insightful, highlighting the increasing demands and evolving expectations placed on organizations in today's global environment.

The prestigious Maison de l’Amérique Latine served as the perfect backdrop for this event. Headquartered since 1965 in two magnificent 18th-century aristocratic residences – the hôtel de Varengeville (1704) and hôtel Amelot de Gournay (1712) – in the heart of Paris's 7th arrondissement, the venue provided an inspiring and elegant atmosphere for the high-level discussions.

The conference culminated in a delightful evening reception aboard a typical Parisian péniche, a charming riverboat moored on the Seine at Les Maquereaux Rive Droite. This unique setting offered a fantastic opportunity for networking and continued conversations against the iconic backdrop of the "City of Lights."

We extend our sincere thanks to all speakers, attendees, and partners who contributed to the success of this insightful and engaging event.
